We're excited to announce that Justin Benjamin - our Head of Growth - has been promoted to Chief Operating Officer of Normal.
Justin joined our team over 2 years ago in the summer of 2022 shortly after we secured $100k in pre-seed funding and received acceptance into the Antler Boulder startup accelerator.
Since then, he has been paramount in crafting our product vision, building community, and acquiring customers that have all worked in tandem to fuel our growth.
Product
Normal's original vision and product were quite different from what we focus on today. After the FTX collapse, our key banking partnership was terminated due to US banks derisking towards anything crypto-related. Throughout the development of our original platform and the design of each product pivot we built post-FTX, Justin played a critical role in our product development.
His focus on intuitive usability, education, and partnerships have been crucial for our team as we've designed and launched our crypto index funds. Justin's ability to interpret user feedback and feature requests within the context of macro market trends and our overall product roadmap have ensured we innovate at the highest level while staying true to our core long-term mission.
Community
Justin has pioneered both our Partner and Ambassador programs since day one. Normal Partners are key members of our community who share an innate passion for our product and vision. In exchange for helping us acquire customers, create content, and build partnerships, they receive unique incentives and status within our community. Many of them have become interns or full-time team members as well.
Normal Ambassadors are hard-working, forward-thinking influencers who wish to share the wealth creation cryptocurrencies can provide with their communities and audience. Justin has identified, contracted, and maintained these relationships for Normal over the past 2 years - playing a key role in our organic growth and community.
Sales
In addition, Justin has spearheaded our early customer acquisition strategies to help achieve nearly $250k in assets under management in just a few months. His commanding knowledge of our industry and product, attention to detail, and overwhelming focus on what's best for each customer have allowed him to connect with our customers on a personal level unlike our competition can.
We look forward to giving him more resources, training, and tools to scale our customer growth as we raise our seed round of funding and expand our team in critical areas of software development and growth.
What's next?
As COO, Justin will continue to oversee the day-to-day operations of Normal and new initiatives as they present themselves. He will help lead and scale our team as we begin hiring and ensure our vision is protected and built with integrity.
